I am so glad to share yet another Godfirmation with y’all to kick off the week. It’s been a great reminder of the attributes of God and that all of these things that we’re learning or re-learning about Him DON’T CHANGE. Because He doesn’t change up on us!
This Godfirmation today is a reminder of God’s grace from Psalm 145:8. And man, am I glad to have His grace!
Many of us know or have hear that God is gracious God is also merciful. I’ve heard the difference between the two explained like this:
“Mercy is not getting what you deserve. Grace is getting what you don’t deserve.”
If we look at that from the perspective of how God treats us, mercy is us not getting the penalty for our sins (death). Grace is God giving us what we don’t deserve, which is salvation…and so much more.
For those who are Christians, we know that God has redeemed us through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. We know that we have eternal life with Him waiting after this life. But we also receive the gift of the Holy Spirit — that still small voice to help guide us through life if we are willing to listen and obey! And God is a kind Father Who listens and encourages too.
There are other intangible gifts that God graciously gives, including joy, hope, and a peace that surpasses understanding. I didn’t understand that until I was an adult going through my own issues, but now I get it and am grateful for God’s compassion and grace.

Thanks For This!! Love It!! God Is Gracious!!
