Wednesday Word: “Use Your Gifts for God’s Purpose” – Dee-1

Hey y’all! Wanted to share a Wednesday Word from Christian rapper Dee-1! I respect this man for standing ten toes down on his faith and righteous living. Following him has definitely been a push for me to live more righteously as God called me to and also walk with love and respect.

In this short clip from an interview, the rapper shared the importance of using our gifts how God has called us to use them. Not for our own selfishness and pride.

Godfirmation: God Qualifies You

I love the word Godfirmation, and sharing these with y’all, because it’s a reminder that WE NEED HIM. It’s His power and grace that truly allows us to get through our days.

Sharing this today as a reminder to myself and to others that God qualifies those whom He has called…no matter what they may have looked like, talked like, or acted like to the outside world beforehand.

Worship Song: “Give Me Jesus”-VOUS Worship

“Even if everything I know is taken away, I won’t lose hope…
I’ll cling to the One who won’t let go. Just give me Jesus…”

Wednesday Word: “Practice the Presence of God In Your Insecurities” – Pastor Faith Eury Cho

I have to share this Wednesday Word with y’all from Pastor Faith Eury Cho because it’s so relevant to me right now. I pray someone else is encouraged to follow God from this one, even in the middle of some tough assignments.

In this clip, Pastor Faith shares the importance of always remembering God is with us even as we struggle with our own insecurities or limitations. And particularly when God has given us a specific assignment. In the midst of scary or new situations, our natural first thoughts are to look inward at what we can or can’t do. But in this video, Pastor Faith reminds us why we need to be looking up to God instead!

GODFIRMATION: You Matter to God

“When I look at Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which You have set in place,
what is man that You are mindful of him,
and the son of man that You care for him?”

Psalm 8:3-4 (English Standard Version)

As we kick off another new week, let’s start with a Godfirmation to encourage us — this one coming from Psalm 8:3-4.

I love the book of Psalms, many of which were written by David, who vulnerably pours his heart out to God in a lot of wild circumstances. In a good bit of his writings, David also gives praise and glory to God for the works of His hands, including in Psalm 8. The great hymn of the church, “How Great Thou Art,” was even inspired by Psalm 8. In this particular passage, David praises God as the Creator of the heavens and the earth. He also is in awe that this incredible Creator still thinks and cares about our lives!
