Worship Song: “More Than Able”-Elevation Worship (feat. Chandler Moore & Tiffany Hudson)

“When did I start to forget all of the great things You did?
When did I throw away faith for the impossible?
How did I start to believe You weren’t sufficient for me?
Why do I talk myself out of seeing miracles?”

Though your girl is more a fan of gospel music and Christian R&B/rap, I’ve been listening to a few songs from Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music. One song from Elevation, “More Than Able” (featuring Chandler Moore & Tiffany Hudson), has been hitting a little harder than others right now.

This song is all about trusting that God is literally more than able to handle any situation that we are dealing with. If we look over our lives, we can find clear examples where God has shown up for us time and time again. But sometimes we let our circumstances overshadow that truth.

Christian Rap: “Rolled The Stone Away”-Mike Teezy

Every time I hit a brick wall, God still made a way
Oh yeah, He made a way, His saving grace. He died on the cross, and my debt was paid….

I love discovering new music, particularly Christian music that I can connect with. I just got into Christian rapper Mike Teezy over the past year or so, and this is one of my favorite tracks from him. “Rolled the Stone Away” is a personal song of gratitude to God from Mike that we can all apply to our individual stories.

The song talks about how because God sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, and because Jesus rose from that grave, our sins are forgiven. We aren’t deserving of it, but God showed grace and mercy and CONTINUES TO.

Worship Song: “I Will Always”-Martha Munizzi

“As long as I have breath, Lord, I promise this…I will always worship You.”

Singer, author, and pastor Martha Munizzi can SANG, y’all! This Worship Song of hers, “I Will Always” is my favorite from her and really has stuck with me. When my sister was in elementary school, she did liturgical dance. I went to one of her dance company’s shows, and she danced to this. The message of the song has stuck with me for years.

The song is simply a song of declaration before the Lord, that, no matter what, we will worship the Lord and put no one before Him.

Worship Song: “Idols” – Kirk Franklin

“Give Me your options…let Me be the first one you call
Now you must choose what I am to you: God of all or not God at all…”

This week has been long and tough for me, honestly. On those days, it’s vital to stay in worship and in tune with God, for sure. And I’m trying my best. This Worship Song reminded me that I have to continue to put God as the Head of everything, including my problems.

Out of the music Kirk Franklin has put out in recent years, this is one of my favorites. “Idols” was a song featured on his “Long Live Love” album. And it’s really a push for us as believers who claim to love God to let Him truly be God over every aspect of our lives.

Worship Song: “I Can Only Imagine”-J. Michael Finley

I had to share this Worship Song with y’all today. Several of us know “I Can Only Imagine.” This version was sung by J. Michael Finley, who played Bart Millard in the Christian film of the same name!

Now the original version of “I Can Only Imagine” was written by Bart and his Christian group MercyMe. Gospel singer Tamela Mann also has her own beautiful cover as well. But this one is my personal favorite!
