One of the newer Christian artists I really like right now is Christian rapper Wande! I’ve been following her for a minute, and I’m in love with one of her latest tracks, “In The Light.”
The music video for the track starts with a powerful verse — Ephesians 5:8: “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.” And that says a lot about who we should be as Christians.
Throughout the song, Wande sings and raps about how she became new when she began walking with the Lord. “I became a better me when I gave up the sin,” she raps. “Hold up, better me came when I gave it all to Him.” And it’s truth…when we truly walk with God, we are walking in His light.
That comes with some responsibility — shining as His children, living as God has told us in the Bible. But also WE HAVE GOD WALKING WITH US. And dwelling in His presence gives us a sense of calm, comfort, and encouragement, too. Blessings like none other.
