Another Monday, and another fresh start to the week. Here’s a Godfirmation to remind you of an amazing attribute of God: that He will never leave you!
When people are fickle and leave at the slightest inconvenience, we can rest assured that God won’t leave us in the lurch. In fact, He’s faithful and there for us even when we aren’t giving Him the slightest attention.
In the book of Deuteronomy, chapter 31, Moses informed the Israelites that he would not be leading them into their Promised Land (his own disobedience unto God kept him from going…but that’s another conversation). The leader Joshua succeeded Moses, and Moses took this time to encourage him before all of the people with Deuteronomy 31:8. No matter what, God Himself would stand alongside Joshua and wouldn’t leave him. So Joshua didn’t need to fear this next assignment.
That’s a WORD for us. That God Himself is with us as believers. And He’s not in the habit of hanging us out to dry, especially when He Himself has called us to do something. He will provide, be a source of encouragement, and, most importantly, He WON’T leave us. That’s not in His nature.
That’s encouragement for somebody today. Someone who has dealt with abandonment. Someone who is nervous about their next steps. Someone who maybe even feels like God has abandoned them in a season. While He operates in HIS timing, He never leaves us. We can continue to turn to Him with all of our problems and issues and praise because He loves us and wants to see us prosper in His will. Let this be encouragement to you today!
