This Wednesday Word clip is from…yours truly (Brittany Shawnté). God has been working on me a lot about being a better steward over things from my time to my body to my home. Still room for improvement, but I’m getting there!
Good stewardship is a Biblical concept, particularly in Luke 16:10. In thinking about that idea recently, I realized how unrealistic it is of us to expect for God to bless us with more when we aren’t managing what He’s blessed us with already!
Think about it. Let’s say you desire…marriage. Well, how do you think you will maintain a healthy relationship if you haven’t been doing the work on areas you need to improve in your single season? Communication, conflict resolution, and the like (which can be worked on with or without a relationship, mind you!). You want a better job, but how are you showing up at the one you currently have? With a negative attitude or with a mind that you will be grateful for the assignment God has you in and open to learning?
In LIFE, not just sports, how you practice is how you’re going to play.
So we can’t be surprised if God doesn’t bless us with more if we’re not taking care of what we have right now! In what world does that really make sense.
This video was really for ME, BUT IF IT HIT, LET IT STICK! Watch below.
