GODFIRMATION: God Doesn’t Tire Out

Godfirmation: God Doesn't Tire Out Isaiah 40:28-29

As we kick off the week, here’s a Godfirmation to encourage you all! It’s a reminder that, even though we may grow weary with the stresses and aggravations of life, God doesn’t tire out. He’s more than able to fight our battles and give us strength and comfort when we need it.

To give a little context, around this time, the Babylonian Empire was going to conquer Jerusalem and take the people of Israel into exile. While Isaiah is certainly a book of judgment and condemnation, it’s also a book of encouragement. The book reminds us that while God is just and delivers consequences, He is also a God of forgiveness and comfort.

This particular chapter provides comfort for Israel at this moment of impending exile. That God would forgive and give them the ultimate victory. AND it shows God’s unlimited strength.

We as humans have limited strength. There’s only so much we can do in a day. We need daily rest and sustenance to keep the bit of strength we have. And sometimes, that strength goes out way before we planned. But I’m glad that God doesn’t get tired. He doesn’t grow weary and even grants us some of that strength and peace when we get drained.

And, as always, I’m grateful for it. Because your girl certainly tires out all the time. I’m tired right NOW HA!
