For today’s Wednesday Word, I wanted to share a word that God placed on my heart to share earlier on social media. Really, this was a message for me, but if it hit, let it stick.
Before I pressed record, God was talking to me about Imperfectly B and the importance of being faithful to this assignment. This probably comes up every few weeks. It doesn’t matter how many followers or readers show up. It matters that I’m obedient to Him…especially because this is about adding and strengthening souls for God’s Kingdom.
I think my fellow Christian creators or entrepreneurs especially may need this reminder. I know I did.
I would be lying if I said I didn’t think about growing this blog and fulfilling new ideas. But I was reminded that it’s important to be faithful over the little. To show up CONSISTENTLY whether millions watch…or 14 people (that’s a real stat on one of my Instagram videos).
In the New International Version, Luke 16:10 reads:
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”
So if you aren’t being faithful over the little you have now, how can God trust you with more (subscribers, customers, etc.)? And even if things don’t happen on some grand scale, or exactly how you want them to, so what?
You should be working towards the purpose that God told you to go after…simply because God told you to do it.
