GODFIRMATION: God Works All Things Together

Godfirmation: God Works All Things Together (Romans 8:28)

Today’s Godfirmation is from a well-known verse in the Bible: Romans 8:28. Many Christians can probably quote that in their sleep, but it’s an important one to remember, especially when the circumstances of our lives are unfavorable.

For those of us who love the Lord, we can trust that He is working all things in our lives for our good, even if we can’t quite see it.

Over the years, I’ve learned that this doesn’t mean that I get all of the things that I personally want or that I won’t go through my share of hurts. It means that God ultimately knows what will benefit His children — not only what will help us succeed but what will help us GROW into who He has called us to be. He knows the right amount of wins, losses, achievements, pain, rejections, etc. that will bring us closer to Him and the plans He has for our lives. God has a plan, and He’s strategic about it!

And if we truly believe that God has a plan for us, I also believe that God, being the all-knowing God He is, also already factored in our own mistakes in that plan. I know personally, that my screw-ups that I thought were unredeemable, led me closer to Him and this new assignment with Imperfectly B becoming a Christian website.

So, in spite of what may be going on in your life right now, trust that God is a master operations manager. He is going to use everything happening for your good… if you surrender it all over to Him. My pastor always says that God is not making things up as He goes along. Personally, I’m glad about that…because I don’t know about y’all but uhhh…sometimes I feel like I definitely am!
