Every time I hit a brick wall, God still made a way
Oh yeah, He made a way, His saving grace. He died on the cross, and my debt was paid….
I love discovering new music, particularly Christian music that I can connect with. I just got into Christian rapper Mike Teezy over the past year or so, and this is one of my favorite tracks from him. “Rolled the Stone Away” is a personal song of gratitude to God from Mike that we can all apply to our individual stories.
The song talks about how because God sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, and because Jesus rose from that grave, our sins are forgiven. We aren’t deserving of it, but God showed grace and mercy and CONTINUES TO.
“He washed my sins away. My life won’t be the same,” a choir sings on the chorus. “When He rose up from the grave, He rolled the stone away.”
Though Mike is sharing his personal testimony on. the song, we can all insert chapters from our past that God wiped away. Not only do we are free from the punishment and shame of the mistakes of our lives down here on earth, but we have a beautiful eternal life ahead of us.
