Sharing this Godfirmation to kick off the week! My dad sometimes references Psalm 37:25-26 when we chat, referring to how God is truly a provider in this life. He is a generous God who provides for the righteous AND their children.
It is a reminder, especially in uncertain and dark seasons, that God takes care of His children. And it’s not just in terms of opportunity and money, either.
As a child of God, I believe that God is the reason for all that I have. And there are several opportunities and blessings that I KNOW only happened because of His hand being on them. I may not always have everything I want, but I always have had all that I need to live. Matter of fact, I’ve gotten a lot of what I want, too, because of God’s providence. As someone who has her own relationship with God, but also comes from a long line of faithful Christians, I believe that this passage rings true for me AND my family (current and future). He has provided not just for me, but for my entire family because we are His children.
As believers, we should have faith that, no matter what, God will supply all of our needs. He’s proven it in my life time after time, including with my current job. I have lived long enough (like the older saints of God will say) to know that God also provides more than just our physical needs. He also is our joy and peace as we navigate this thing called life, and I’m grateful for that!
