#MondayMotivation

Wishing you all a positive and productive week! Here’s a Monday Motivation quote from entrepreneur Jim Rohn to kick off the week strong.

For several of us, this quote is true especially now with the quarantine and the coronavirus. A good chunk of us are working from home, some of us for the very first time. It’s not as easy as everyone thinks, especially when you don’t have a plan. If you wake up each day, whether you’re in the office or at home, without some kind of plan, the day will get away from you more than likely. You’ll look up and it will be 5 pm, and you won’t even know where the day went.

For me, I’ve found some things that work for me. Creating a list of doable tasks each day is extremely helpful. Not just writing a list of things I hope I can get to but creating a list that I know I can actually get done. Otherwise, it’s just a wish list, for real. I eliminate as many distractions as I can, especially from my phone. I also put on some kind of motivational/calming music and plug my headphones in, and sit down to work on my list. That’s how I run my day.

How do you run your day? Or is it running you?

It’s been an interesting week with the hard hit of the coronavirus and working fully from home. The quarantine life has been an easy adjustment for me as a lowkey introvert than maybe others.

Nonetheless, I’ve definitely had some challenges to overcome this week, which is why I haven’t written in a minute. Now I’m back and here is a #MondayMotivation quote to get our weeks started off strong!

It’s another new week so it’s time for some #MondayMotivation! Hoping that this quote from author and businessman Kobi Yamada pushes you to get started on that new goal!

Starting any new thing is scary. I know all too well. You’ve gotten comfortable in doing what you’ve always done so stepping out into the unknown is a major risk. There’s the risk of failure, hurt, and rejection. It’s nerve-wracking!

However, nothing great comes without risk. A calculated risk maybe, but a risk nonetheless. I’m realizing that greatness takes leaps off of cliffs into the unknown and finding your wings (strength, knowledge, growth) on the down.

Are you willing to take your leap?

This #MondayMotivation quote from philosopher William James is a reminder that your thoughts have a lot of weight when it comes to your results.

Just like with this quote, I talk about the power of positive thinking because I’ve seen it for myself. Your thoughts about any given situation, positive or negative, affect your actions which, ultimately, is what affects your results. When you’re in a mostly negative headspace (especially at the beginning of something hard), you don’t really want to do much of anything and it’s harder to push through. When you don’t really believe in yourself and the fact that you can achieve your goals, you don’t go as hard towards them. That leaves you sorta, kinda achieving what you want.

However, when you evaluate what you bring to the table and believe in that wholeheartedly, you have more positive energy towards your work and are more likely to work harder towards what you want. And that’s even if things aren’t quite panning out to where you want to be. Just the fact that you know and believe in your purpose and what you have to offer changes everything.
