10-Year-Old Creates Art Kits For Over 1,500 Kids In Foster Care and Homeless Shelters During Quarantine

This 10-year-old girl has turned a traumatic experience into a major triumph by bringing art to over 1,500 kids currently in foster care and homeless shelters during the COVID-19 quarantine.

Chelsea Phaire, who resides in Danbury, CT, started her own nonprofit organization, Chelsea’s Charity, with her parents back in August 2019 which supplies art kits to at-risk children. Since the charity’s inception, she has donated hundreds of art kits to homeless shelters, women’s shelters, and schools impacted by gun violence in 12 US states. This Pennsylvania Teen is Creating Care Packages for Seniors During Coronavirus Pandemic

You guys know that I love highlighting what people are doing in their communities, specifically during this time of crisis. It’s also always great to see young people out here committed to making this world a better place. That rings true of this next teen I’m featuring today.

High schooler Hita Gupta is a sophomore at Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. She has been creating care packages for nursing home residents in her area during this pandemic!

Mark Hoyle, aka LadBaby, recently shared a video of a surprise he had for his family. He has promised his now 4-year-old that he was going to bring him a Happy Meal from McDonald’s for his birthday this past week. However, since COVID-19 hit, all McDonald’s (like most operations across the world) in the UK are closed. Sadly, he had to explain to the young boy that they couldn’t go right now. Maryland Teens Created Plan to Pick Up Groceries for Seniors During Coronavirus Pandemic

The good thing about the madness behind COVID-19 is that it’s giving people an opportunity to get creative and to also show kindness to others. That case is true for these two teens in Maryland!

Matthew Casertano and Dhruv Pai, sophomores at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, Maryland, have developed a service project during their time away from school to help the elderly. Their newfound organization, Teens Helping Seniors, allows volunteers to go on grocery runs or other errands for seniors who are unable to do it themselves right now. Many are aware that the pandemic is seemingly more harmful to the elderly, so it’s been advised that they stay inside.
