#MondayMotivation

Good morning y’all! It’s another Monday already (it’s truly crazy how quick the weekend goes by). Even though I tend to drag at the start of a new week, I’m determined that this week is going to be a good one. I hope you are too!

Today’s #MondayMotivation is a right on time message for me. This year is shaping up to be the best year I’ve had in a long, long time, after quite a bit of disappointments, rejection, and loss over the past few years. I’m on track financially to make some new moves, and my freelance work and opportunities have taken off. Definitely in a better place than I was even a year ago, and I’m grateful. However, it was my disappointments that helped to set me up for that success.

It’s like I’ve said before. Your delay is truly not a denial. You will experience quite a bit of loss before each win, but the most important part is that you keep trying. Success will come. So if you’re in a season of disappointments, where it seems like things just aren’t going to work out, keep going anyway. Trust me. It’ll be worth it.

I believe my best days are not behind me, but ahead of me, and I’m living and moving accordingly

It’s Monday, and I’m actually in a pretty good mood this morning! Tired as ever, but I’m good. Hope y’all are too! If not, here’s some #MondayMotivation to help shake off those blues a little bit!

This was a major one for me, because I’ve been just going through the motions over the past few years. Every day is pretty much the same, especially when it comes to my 9-5. Because of all I have going on, I get tired REAL quick and shut myself in the house to decompress. I’ve spent more time with Netflix and Hulu rather than some of my actual friends, sad to say. Don’t get me wrong. I need that time alone to re-energize. I believe we all do. But often we get so caught up in our regular routines that we forget to actually enjoy the lives we have!

In 2017, I was determined that, for me, that would end. I would make more time to spend with family and friends, or do simple things for myself. I decided that I would get out of my house more and away from typing behind a computer screen, and make the most out of each day! I went to LA earlier in the year, and have quite a few more travel plans this year, and more events to go to. I’ve been picking up new skills. I’ve been trying to meet and connect with more people, and it’s all to get out of this “same old, same old” routine. It’s truly a choice to make the rest of your life great. I believe my best days are not behind me, but ahead of me, and I’m living and moving accordingly. I hope you do the same!

#MondayMotivation

It’s Monday, and, I’ll be honest, I’m DRAGGING this morning. Getting out of my bed was too rough today, and I don’t feel like doing much of anything. But today’s #MondayMotivation is definitely the push I need. Hope it is for you too.

Working towards your goals make for a lot of long, exhausting days. Days where you just to quit early, lay in bed and do nothing, and it’s fully justified. I’ve been there. I’m there today, for real. But you can’t stop when you’re tired. Personally, if I did that, I would never get anything done. Days like today, I’ve got to really push through, keeping in mind the things that I’ve accomplished, what I’m trying to maintain, and where I’m trying to get to. That requires pushing past my being “oh so tired.” So I plugged in my music, and got to work. I’ve got goals to reach.

Don’t stop when you’re tired. Stop when you’re done.

#MondayMotivation

Happy Monday everybody….yeah I’m tired too. But here’s a #MondayMotivation quote to keep us pushing towards our goals!

I’ll be honest. I have all of these ideas that I’m constantly cranking out, right? But I get lazy and fail to execute them like I should sometimes. Case in point, this weekend. Outside of take my little cousin to SkyZone for her birthday and go to the gym once, I didn’t do much of anything on my to-do list. I told myself the BS excuse that jumping around on trampolines really did my body in (it kind of did though), and I needed to rest. That rest turned into me mostly binge-watching on Netflix all weekend! And this morning, I’m paying the price, trying to do a bunch of stuff that I should’ve done on those two days off from my 9-5.

There’s nothing wrong with having lazy moments or the occassional lazy weekend. But this morning, this quote came to mind for me. I’m not in direct competition with anyone but myself, but I will definitely fall behind in my work if I don’t push through my being tired or wanting to chill and watch my shows all the time.

We’ve all got a special talent or gift that we can develop into so much more. We’ve all got a dream that we want to see come into fruition. However, we’ll get left behind if we’re not consistently working toward those things. You can’t just rely on your talent in order to make it. Without hard work, talent ultimately falls to the way side.
