#MondayMotivation

Wishing you all a positive and productive week! Here’s a Monday Motivation quote from entrepreneur Jim Rohn to kick off the week strong.

For several of us, this quote is true especially now with the quarantine and the coronavirus. A good chunk of us are working from home, some of us for the very first time. It’s not as easy as everyone thinks, especially when you don’t have a plan. If you wake up each day, whether you’re in the office or at home, without some kind of plan, the day will get away from you more than likely. You’ll look up and it will be 5 pm, and you won’t even know where the day went.

For me, I’ve found some things that work for me. Creating a list of doable tasks each day is extremely helpful. Not just writing a list of things I hope I can get to but creating a list that I know I can actually get done. Otherwise, it’s just a wish list, for real. I eliminate as many distractions as I can, especially from my phone. I also put on some kind of motivational/calming music and plug my headphones in, and sit down to work on my list. That’s how I run my day.

How do you run your day? Or is it running you?

I especially needed this simple #MondayMotivation quote today so I wanted to pass it along to you all. I hope it encourages someone.

I’m in the midst of doing new things for my fitness and my career. It’s scary and challenging, and there are some days I think about just throwing in the towel. But just because it’s hard doesn’t mean that it’s impossible. Just because the road ahead will be tough and long doesn’t mean that it won’t ever happen.

I see quite a few people who follow me embarking on new phases in life. These phases give purpose but they can also be hard. But if your work is what you know you are meant to do, keep fighting for it.

I wanted to start this week off with this powerful #MondayMotivation quote from the legendary Serena Williams. I hope that it gives you the push you need to keep moving.

Many of us, especially those who are creatives, know the struggles that happen behind the scenes as we work on our goals. There is a lot of sweat and work (and a lot of losses and tears) that happen that not many people ever see. However, those struggles teach us the most. They’re inevitable but they are how we grow and get better. Being able to recover and bounce back after you fall is the true definition of a champion.  Also, when people see you persevering and getting back up in spite of the L’s you’ve taken, it motivates them to do the same.

Where are my fellow champs at?!

#MondayMotivation

Good morning people…another Monday is here and it’s back to the grind. Here’s some #MondayMotivation to get you moving!

Today’s quote from John C. Maxwell was an important lesson for me to learn. You have to shake things up in your daily routine in order to get to where you want to be.

For me, when it came to my fitness, I began to eat better and meal prep 1-2 days throughout the week so that I wouldn’t fall into temptation. When it came to my writing, I began putting in extra work at my desk during lunch most days to focus more on my projects instead of going out somewhere.

In order to change where you are, you have to change something you do on the regular. What small changes can you make today to help yourself get to a new level of success?

#MondayMotivation

Good morning everybody…hope you had a great weekend. Here’s some #MondayMotivation to help get you through the week!

As many of us heavily working towards our goals know, there’s a lot of sacrifice that comes along with that. A LOT. And I used to feel like I had to explain certain moves that I made or didn’t make in my life concerning my writing career. And yet, people wouldn’t understand, which was frustrating to me. I didn’t understand why they didn’t get it!

When I read this quote for the first time a long time ago, I realized that you can’t truly expect everyone to understand the path that God has particularly put you on. Just like I don’t always understand the paths of a few people close to me, but I still try to support and uplift them. Regardless, you just have to keep doing your own thing, knowing the goals that you have for your own life.  Some people will get it and support, and others won’t, and you have to be okay with that. Just keep grinding!
