#MondayMotivation

All right, y’all…it’s Monday, and most of us are off for Columbus Day today. Yet and still, I wanted to drop some #MondayMotivation to get you through the rest of the week!

I’ve experienced this quote from both ends of the spectrum. I’ve gotten caught up in the high moments of my life, as well as replayed the bad moments over and over. Neither did me any good. Focusing on the past moments don’t help you progress; it just keeps you stuck either way.

There’s an analogy that some of you may have heard of: the windshield versus the rear view mirror. When you drive, you’ve got a big windshield on the front of your car, and you’ve got a tiny rearview mirror. The reason the windshield is so large and the rearview mirror is so small is because what’s happened in your past is not near as important as what’s in your future. When I heard this, it kind of shook me a little bit!

I’m a true believer in the idea that what’s ahead of you is greater than what’s behind you. However, if you keep reliving the past, good or bad, you can’t truly move forward to what’s ahead. Your focus has to be on what’s in front of you, and all of the things that you achieve and do in the future. Continue to learn and grow, and make new successes and experiences for yourself!

#MondayMotivation

Good morning y’all! Yeah, I know, it’s Monday morning and, already, you want to be back in bed. Here’s some #MondayMotivation to keep you forging ahead!

Let me tell y’all. No matter what you see online or on TV, at work, or wherever, there is no thing as a real overnight success. That’s why one of the things you have to let go of is comparing yourself to other people because you don’t know what they went through or how hard they worked to get to where they are right now.

This quote from retired soccer legend Pelé is so true. Success isn’t a coincidence. It’s no accident. It doesn’t just pop up after putting in a little bit of time behind the scenes. It comes with a lot of prayer, hard work, rejection, tears, networking, strength, and perseverance. A LOT. Trust me. And it’s constant. Once you even reach where you want to be, then you have to focus on staying there and continuing to advance. The struggle is very real, y’all.

But what keeps you going, ultimately, is true love and passion for whatever it is that you are doing. Once you find that, continue to work at it, invest in it, study it, and grow. The success will come, but you gotta keep pushing y’all!

#MondayMotivation

Good morning y’all…another Monday is here. I’m tired, but I’m ready to put in WORK this week! Here’s some #MondayMotivation to inspire you guys…a quote I need for myself too.

The road to success is HARD, y’all. Very hard. No matter what you’re working towards. Maybe it’s getting healthier. Maybe it’s building up your own business. Maybe it’s trying to get that degree. No matter what it is, the journey to reaching a goal is quite difficult and tiring.

Yet and still, you can’t stop when you’re tired. When you stop every time you’re tired, you’re just prolonging the process of getting further along in your journey. Sometimes, you have to choose to push past feelings of fatigue, or insecurity, or doubt, to continue towards your purpose. For real, for real, if it was easy, everybody would do it. So don’t stop when you’re tired…stop when you’re done.

#MondayMotivation

Welp, another Monday is here. Gotta admit I’m really not feeling it this morning, but had to get up and put the work in. Here’s some #MondayMotivation to kick off the week…this time from the legendary Julie Andrews!

If it’s one thing I know for sure, after losing and failing so many times, wins come when you LEAST expect it and when you MOST need it. After you’ve fallen down so many times. After you’ve been rejected from job after job. After you’ve failed at creating the success you wanted from your idea. But you keep going, because you know your end is better than your beginning.

That’s perseverance, and that’s how you’ll ultimately win.
