I absolutely love this track from Alex Vaughn and I wanted to use it for this week’s Inspirational Jam!

On “Anymore,” Alex sings about the fact that, with the goals she has for her career, she can’t keep getting distracted by all of these parties or other things that take up too much of her time. She has to put her energy more towards getting better in her craft and growing her career.

Inspirational Jam: “Gotta Have It”-Alex Vaughn

“Will you make the sacrifice when you don’t wanna so you can live in paradise like you wanna? But you gotta put that work in if you’re gonna…”

A few weeks ago, I went to a concert to see one of my favorite rising singers, Janine. My fellow Prince George’s County, Maryland native Alex Vaughn was her opening act. My sister Alexis told me about her before the show and I’m glad to say that I’m a new fan! Today’s Inspirational Jam from her is one of the reasons why.

“Gotta Have It” is a song I listen to pretty much daily now. The song, which gives off a 90s vibe, forces you to ask yourself just how bad you want to make your goals happen. If you really got to have it and can’t stop until it all happens, then you’ll put in the hard work to get it. You’ll make the sacrifices you need to. Even when you don’t want to. Shoot, especially when you don’t want to.
