“Many things about tomorrow, I don’t seem to understand. But I know who holds tomorrow and I know who holds my hand…”
This is a personal Inspirational Jam for me today, but I hope it encourages someone. Kelly Price‘s version of the gospel track, “I Know Who Holds Tomorrow” has soothed my soul from the time I was a pre-teen in the 2000s up to this very day. Especially in moments when I feel so unsure of what was ahead for me in life.
This life…is absolutely crazy and always uncertain. You never know what will happen in a given day, week, hour, or minute. One minute, everything is going well and adding up just fine. Then, all of a sudden, the ball drops and the math ain’t quite mathing. From the daily stresses of life to tragedies in our own lives and the lives of others near and far. It’s easy to give up hope of there being anything better out there for any of us.
As a Christian, I hold faith in God, even though it’s not always easy. In the moments where things seem entirely hopeless, I still believe in better days to come. Because I believe that God ultimately knows where things are headed and I haven’t come this far just to be stuck where I am. So I’m learning to take things one day, one step at a time, and trust the One I claim to believe in.
I’m never here to judge or debate anyone else’s beliefs or lack thereof. I hope there are some who can find some peace, encouragement, and comfort in this track, especially on days where things aren’t quite adding up in your worlds.
