#MondayMotivation

Today is Valentine’s Day, and we’re celebrating all love today, including simply loving on yourself. Which should be done whether you’re casually dating, in a relationship, married, or completely single. I hope that this #MondayMotivation quote can inspire you to continue to work towards being your best self each day.

When people often think of self-love and self-care, they think of bubble baths, hair and nail appointments, massages, and all the other nice ways you can have luxurious experiences. Don’t get me wrong, those are definitely nice things (and definitely warranted!). However, self-love is also loving yourself enough to work on being the best you that you can be, inside and out.

It’s working on your health (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual). It’s working towards growing in your purpose. It’s exploring your creative outlets. It’s tackling your personal traumas for a better future. It’s finally doing the things that you’ve been putting on the back burner for so long. It’s stepping outside of your comfort zone to be much better than where you are now.

The ways that I’m personally doing that are committing to daily devotions and prayer with God, working on my nutrition, getting my finances together, working on my character and choices, and holding myself accountable for my decisions made (past and present). I’m not perfect and never will be (you see the name of this site, right?). However, I do want to be the best that I can be overall, and make better decisions for my life. How about you?

Becoming the best version of yourself is true self-love. What are ways that you’re committing to become better this week and beyond?
