Some short but great Words of Wisdom from Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris! This video began circulating after it was officially announced that Joe Biden had won the U.S. presidential race with Kamala Harris as his vice president. I think it’s a great reminder for us all when it comes to leadership.
In the clip, the vice president-elect answers a question from someone in the country in regards to leadership. She encourages that person, and us all, to not be afraid to lead or hear no from anyone. Hearing no shouldn’t deter you from your goals or from continuing to speak up. “Let me tell you, I eat no for breakfast. It’s a hearty breakfast,” she shares in the clip.
It’s a reminder that we shouldn’t be afraid to lead or wait for someone to give you permission or validation to take charge. Your opinions and work are valid. Don’t ever settle for less than you deserve or hold back based on what you feel other people may think.
