Big dreams need to broken down into smaller goals, which then need to be given a list of action items for you to take. One, it will allow you to stay on track with your goals a little better rather than just wishing for something to come with inconsistent work. Two, it will be less overwhelming for you. When you look at the big picture all of the time and focus on how far you have to go, it can seem very daunting. Focusing instead on taking small steps will help you to keep moving forward.
So, if your big dream is to get down to a goal weight, you might say a smaller goal is to lose a certain amount of weight in a few months. So what are the steps you need to take to actually make that happen? What foods do you need to be eating? What’s the exercise plan? Do you need to put yourself on a schedule? Breaking that big dream into a smaller list of tasks will help you to accomplish that big goal.
