It’s Monday! It’s a new week and a new opportunity to crank out some work towards our goals. Hopefully, this #MondayMotivation quote from Pastor Rick Warren encourages you this week.
I’ve recently finalized my goals for next year –– pandemic permitting! ––and I was honest about the fact that I’m scared. I have some hefty goals that are going to require a lot more work and it’s a little nerve wracking to think about far I have to go.
However, I’ve also been reflecting on how much I have done in the past few years, and throughout my life. Like dag, I have my own website, building my brand, encouraging people from all over. I now have my own Zumba side hustle and I just got a promotion on my 9-5 to help fund all this stuff and hit my savings goals. Even if I’m not where I want to be, I’m certainly not where I was. I’m grateful and proud of myself, for real.
Sometimes you have to give yourself credit for what you’ve already been able to accomplish and use those same accomplishments to encourage you for the ones you hope for in the future. Because you’ve already done some things, you can have faith that you’ll be able to handle what’s ahead and make your next goals happen too. At least that’s what I have hope in. That and God because clearly, I’m not making it without Him.
So don’t get discouraged by how far you have to go. Be encouraged by how far you’ve come and how those experiences and accomplishments are going to help take you to the next level.
