This #MondayMotivation quote is short and sweet, but I hope it moves somebody to step away from all of these virtual learning experiences out there and apply themselves finally.
Y’all, I’ve done so many webinars and courses over my writing career, especially during this pandemic. I began to realize that I was doing all of this learning and not actually applying it, partly out of fear. Learning became a way for me to feel like I was doing something to move forward. However, knowledge means nothing if you’re not implementing it in some way.
Don’t get me wrong. Training is good and necessary to learn some things. You should always be honing your skills and getting better. However, at some point, you have to step away from the books, the webinars, and the videos, and everything else, and actually get to work. That’s where the real learning begins. Because, no matter your field, you working on your craft is where the mistakes are made, where the wins and losses come, and the growth happens.
Happy Monday…let’s get to work.
