Monday Motivation Sara Blakely

This #MondayMotivation quote from entrepreneur Sara Blakely is a reminder that, in spite of your knowledge (or lack thereof), you should be open to taking on new opportunities.

This is particularly timely for me as I consider new options for my website, side hustles, and overall career. It can be intimidating and scary to advance, particularly when you feel like you don’t know enough or that you’re not good enough.

However, the way I see it, I’m just going to have to learn as I go. I have too many goals to achieve for my future and the future of those that will follow me to run scared. I can’t hold back on trying simply because I don’t have the same level of knowledge or experience as others. Plus, I’m beginning to realize that my “lack of knowledge” allows me to have a different perspective that people actually value and want to hear more of. It allows me to step outside of the norm and try things that others wouldn’t have thought of.

Simply put, don’t let what you don’t know keep you from trying in your field, in your relationships, or in life in general. The only way to truly get the knowledge is to put yourself out there, do what you can do, and go from there. Sure, you can read books and attend all the webinars you want, and you should. However, the best teacher is experience. Don’t be scared of it.
