Words of Wisdom: “Follow Your Heart”-Steve Jobs

I hope that these Words of Wisdom from the late Steve Jobs really motivate you today.

Before a class of graduating college students, Steve admitted that posed this question to himself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today? Whenever the answer has been no too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”

It’s a little morbid with Steve being gone now, but I think it’s important to remember that life is not promised to anyone. Because of that, we should focus on finding our purposes and then living in it. It may not always be on the scale we imagined or at the exact time we thought it would be, but, as long as we are doing what we are called to do, we can be fulfilled.

I believe in an afterlife with God in heaven, but I also know I don’t want to spend this life not doing what I was called to do or not living how I was supposed to live. So I spend time working at doing what I love, spending time with those I care about, and making the most of each day. I push past feelings of fear or doubt to go after what is fulfilling for me. Because when I do leave this earth, I don’t want to have any regrets or unfulfilled dreams simply based on what I didn’t do. And I definitely don’t want that for any of you.
