Rapper, record executive and entrepreneur Rick Ross is no stranger to the grind. This Words of Wisdom video from him definitely hit home for me!
In an interview with Charlamagne Tha God, Ross explains that part of what separates winners from the pack is those who go above and beyond the normal call of duty. Those who truly take the initiative to make their goals a reality. Those who go out and network to put themselves and their skills out there, or who put in extra time and work to hone their craft. Those who are always looking for new opportunities to grow in their careers and better themselves. Winners aren’t out here waiting for the opportunities to come to them. Winners aren’t just out here giving the bare minimum.
It’s up to us to go hard every day, whether we feel like it or not. The real work always speaks for itself. If you’re really out here doing what you should be, there will be reward for your labor. Little by little. But it takes taking the initiative and going above and beyond.
