I’m using this quote from Vaibhav Shah for today’s #MondayMotivation as really a reminder to myself and you all too to cut out any envy or comparison.
It’s so easy to look at another person’s life on social media or when you see them in person (what they show you at least) and think, “Wow, they really have it all together.” Or “I wish I could get on their level.” The truth is we don’t know what the next person had to deal with, give up, or struggle through to get to where they are. People rarely share their struggles on the journey up or even what they’re presently dealing with.
I struggle with comparison still from time to time so this quote is another reminder to worry about my own journey. I have a lot to be grateful for and more to work on. We all do. While you may draw inspiration from those successful in your field or in other aspects, remember that it probably came with more struggles and work than you imagined.
