Entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk always keeps it 100! He’s on my top 5 list of inspirational people I watch regularly. Definitely had to share this old clip from him for some Words of Wisdom!
In the clip, Gary mentions the fact that Eurocentric work traditions differ greatly from ours here in America. I kind of envy them, honestly. But their life values are different as well. Here, we’re definitely all about the hustle and getting ahead. For me, I want to live a life of slight luxury. I have financial goals for myself and my future family that require me to go a little harder. That’s just the way it is.
Simply put, if you are comfortable with a simpler life, then it’s cool to cut down on your work hours and make more time for leisure. However, in this clip, Gary notes that the problem comes with those who want so much more, and don’t want to put in the time and work required. Sure, there may be some who are wealthy or have made great investments that have money without doing too much. There are ways to let your money work for you, but most people will have to do some kind of work to get to the levels they want to be. Whatever your ambitions, your actions have to match.
