Beyoncé Donates $100,000 in Scholarships for HBCU Students After Historic Coachella Performance

Beyoncé definitely came to slay the Coachella stage this past weekend, paying tribute to historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) with her performance. But it turns out the set’s theme was also setting up her expanded scholarship program!

Through her BeyGOOD initiative, Bey announced that students at four schools that will receive scholarships through the Homecoming Scholars Award Program for the 2018-2019 academic year. One student each from HBCUs Xavier University, Wilberforce University, Tuskegee University and Bethune-Cookman University will receive $25,000 for the upcoming school year! Definitely a major win for the students who are picked.

I love this woman. Her HBCU tribute at Coachella was incredible, and to follow it up with this scholarship news is even more amazing! I’ll just leave y’all with a little bit of the Queen below….
